Of course leave it to me to completely forget that my cousin is getting married in less than two days. The wedding is in the countryside. It is raining. It is cold. We are in October. I’m struggling to shift some weight and I have nothing to wear. Ashamedly, I am the true definition of a procrastinator. Now that I’ve admitted it, where do I seek help? I am in true panic mode! I have trawled through the Internet looking for the perfect dress. I have to find a dress that is practical for me with toddlers who can hardly feed themselves. A classy dress but not too showy à la Kylie Jenner, who recently attended Justin and Hayley Bieber’s wedding in a loud and very proud gold gown. My first thought when I saw her look was Deborah Cox singing “No! No! No! No! No! No! No! Noooooooo! How did you get here?” because what a faux pas to turn up in a dress that could potentially out-do the bride. She looked beautiful but one must always observe correct wedding etiquette and that means all eyes should be on the bride and it is up to you as a guest to ensure that this happens on her big day.

So I know I promised that I’d put more content up but... well, life! Life happened! Forgive me. I honestly try to blog more. I have about 30 draft posts which await finalising, including all my travels from Japan to my EU tour but kids have kind of taken over my time but let’s not dwell on what could be. I have an update on life. I’m back at work full time after 13 months away on maternity leave and whilst adjustment to being a corporate 8 - 5 woman has not taken long, I have, of course, started to realise that my lifestyle can no longer stay the same. We are retreating to a pretty little cottage on a pretty little lane in a pretty little village with other pretty little thatched cottages surrounding us with our huge meadow garden and summer house at the back.
So after months of going on short courses, months of reading about botanicals, weeks of testing products, I’ve finally started my own skincare company. I’ve done it. I’ve taken a leap of faith into something I can stand by and something I truly believe in.
Hi guys and girls. I wanted to write a short post to you all about something that I’m currently experiencing and to warn you all about taking care of yourself or else you’ll play a big price. This happened to me last week and I’m still in recovery. However, in order to tell you how I’ve got to this point, I guess you need to know what’s been going on in my life. Brace yourself...
I don’t tend to watch daytime television because of work but one day whilst sick at home, I turned on the television and came across Repair Shop. It is a show about craftsmen who pool their talents together to restore heirlooms such as music boxes, vases and clocks to prove that anything can be restored to their former glory. There’s a trend to upcycle, which is the process of transforming waste materials and unwanted products into new materials or products of better quality. Let’s hope this trend continues as humans get rid of a lot of waste which ends up on land fills costing the economy and the environment. The way these people are able to sculpt, saw, iron out products into something completely different is not just a craft but an art form. Jay Blades is one of these people and he offered us a glimpse into his life.
